* * * South Wales August '09 * * *

In the middle of the summer holidays BAT set off to South Wales for a camping and caving trip. Luckily the weather was great giving us two days of hot sun and no rain. On Saturday we headed down Porth Yr Ogof a river cave with a reputation having had a few deaths in it over the years. We followed the river through to its resurgence exit and set up a rope to protect people on the swim out. Everyone then swam out with Paul donning a bouyancy aid and being pulled out last while filming.

Sunday we headed to Little Neath another river cave full of fun and frills with ducks, waterfall and long swims down a section called the canal. The weekend went without a hitch and all vowed to visit the area again to do more of the great welsh caves................. read more.......

* * * Easter in the Peak '09 * * *

BAT visit the Peak District for a sunny Easter weekend and have an action packed weekend to remember. In total 12 from Bucks Caving Team and BAT ventured up to the Peak, spending two days caving and two days climbing. Good Friday was a little damp so a spot of soggy bouldering was had at Curbar Edge followed by a substantial meal back at Pindale Farm's engine house (the bunkhouse that was centre of operations for the weekend). * * * New Year's '09 in Mendip * * *

The first BAT trip saw a number of explorers and leader head off to Mendip to spend the New Year doing a number of caves and having a fancy dress party on New Year's Eve.
